    Alzheimer Europe is an alliance of organizations around the world that work to lessen the burden of Alzheimer's disease and other dementias.The stated goals of the organization are, in their words, is " to improve the exchange of information between Alzheimer help associations; to stimulate the development of projects in the domain of information, support and caregiving for demented people; to establish contacts between Alzheimer help associations in view of setting up and coordinating international projects; to arrange for the translation of booklets, phamplets and other material of interest to various organizations in the member states of the European Union; and to organize an annual international conference offering participants the possibility to inform themselves about new findings in the fields of research on and treatment of Alzheimer's disease.     The mission of the Alzheimer's Association is to..     Alzheimer's Family Services is a 501(c)(3) non profit organization devoted to dementia care. The organization's approach is proactive with innovative services and compassionate staff. The organization offers a printed newsletter, Friendship Connection. The website has great resource information for caregivers.    The Alzheimer's Foundation of America is a non- profit organization with associate organizations in the United States and Canada. Family Caregiver Alliance:
   The Family Caregiver Alliance was founded in 1977. Family Caregiver Alliance is a community-based non profit devoted to the needs of families providing long term care at home. Foundation For The National Institutes Of Health:
    The Foundation for NIH was started in 1990 by Congress a as 501(c)(3) public charity. The foundation seeks to find cures and treatments for many of todays diseases. The foundation hopes to bring together the resources of the country- by bringing together researchers and concerned persons to fund research into areas from cancer to Alzheimer's disease.     The National Alliance for Caregiving is a premier national resource on family caregiving. NYU Medical Center/NYU School of Medicine, Alzheimer's Disease Center:
    The NYU Alzheimer's Disease Center is part of the Department of Psychiatry at New York University School of Medicine in mid-town Manhattan. The center is one of 30 Alzheimer's disease centers in the U.S. supported by the National Institute On Aging. The center studies brain aging and Alzheimer's disease, to help those with memory impairment and the families that care for them. Society For Neuroscience:
    The Society For Neuroscience has a marvelous web page, a personal favorite of mine. The Society of Neuroscience is a non-profit organization of scientists and physicians who study the brain and nervous system at basic and applied levels of research. Their focus is on the many diseases of the brain and nervous system, which does include Alzheimer's disease and dementia. The Society publishes the Journal of Neuroscience and has an annual meeting.
